About me

Welcome to my personal webpage! I am a Joint Ph.D. candidate in Social Work and Developmental Psychology at the University of Michigan. My research focuses on parenting and family wellbeing. More specifically, I use large domestic and international survey data to examine the effects of parental discipline, parent-child interactions, and family processes on child socio-emotional outcomes. My research aims to inform social work practice and policy, particularly for vulnerable, impoverished, and oppressed families.

I am also an outpatient mental health therapist in Ann Arbor, Michigan, primarily serving children and families struggling with PTSD, anxiety, depression, behavioral difficulties, and emotion dysregulation. I also contract with community agencies to provide program evaluation services. My research enhances my community practice, and I utilize knowledge gained from community practice to inform my research.
