Welcome to my personal webpage! I am a Joint Ph.D. candidate in Social Work and Developmental Psychology at the University of Michigan. My research focuses on parenting and child wellbeing. More specifically, I use qualitative and quantitative methods to explore how parental discipline, parental involvement, and family processes influence child socioemotional development. I also examine how factors such as culture, education, race, and ethnicity impact parental behaviors.
I am also an outpatient mental health therapist in Ann Arbor, Michigan, primarily serving children and families struggling with PTSD, anxiety, depression, behavioral difficulties, and emotion dysregulation. I also contract with community agencies to provide program evaluation services. My research enhances my community practice, and I utilize knowledge gained from community practice to inform my research.
